Chapter One: Introduction
1.1 Background of the Study
Peaceful elections are a cornerstone of democratic governance, fostering stability, inclusion, and legitimacy. In Makera Local Government Area, Kaduna State, electoral processes have occasionally been marred by tension, misinformation, and conflict. Photography, as a visual communication tool, has the potential to promote peaceful elections by documenting electoral processes, showcasing unity, and countering misinformation.
